Best-Effort Residential Services

Some computer issues depend on hardware condition, age, or third-party software. These services are offered on a best-effort basis:

  • Limited support for smart TVs and smart devices

If a repair is unlikely to be cost-effective, we will advise you before proceeding.

Unsupported Systems & Best-Effort Support

At ProSolv IT, we aim to keep your technology running smoothly. However, some computers may be running operating systems or configurations that are not officially supported by the manufacturer — for example, Windows 11 installed on hardware that does not meet Microsoft's minimum requirements.

What this means

  • Your computer may work fine now, but future updates, security patches, or features may not function correctly.
  • Microsoft does not guarantee support for these systems.
  • Unexpected issues may arise, including system instability or security vulnerabilities.

Our approach

We can provide support on a best-effort basis for unsupported systems, which includes:

  • Troubleshooting general software issues
  • Malware and virus removal
  • Device maintenance and optimizations

However, we cannot guarantee long-term stability, security updates, or full functionality for unsupported systems.

Your options

1. Continue with your current system (Best-Effort Support)
We will support your computer where possible, but some issues may be outside our control.

2. Reinstall a fully supported operating system
Installing a supported OS (for example, Windows 10 on older PCs) ensures stability and security, giving you peace of mind.

3. Upgrade your hardware
New or refurbished computers that meet current system requirements will run the latest operating systems smoothly, providing long-term support and security.

Important Notice: By proceeding with an unsupported system, you acknowledge the increased risk of software and security issues. ProSolv IT accepts no liability for problems that result from unsupported configurations.

Services Not Provided

For legal, security, and liability reasons, ProSolv IT does not provide:

  • Password cracking or account bypassing
  • Access to devices without verified ownership
  • Social media account recovery (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Forensic or investigative services
  • Monitoring or surveillance services
  • Support for pirated software
  • Advanced hardware repair or soldering

  • Guaranteed data recovery
  • Ongoing managed IT services for residential clients
